As a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Transplant Diagnostic (TDX) aspires to improve outcomes for patients throughout the transplant journey by providing our customers with innovative diagnostic solutions. TDX develops and distributes a comprehensive line of typing and antibody detection products, laboratory instrumentation, computer software, and clinical laboratory services that are used to help match patients and donors before transplant, monitor patients post-transplant, and advance research in the transplantation space.
Responsibilities
- Take on ownership of quality processes in Bioinformatics team
- Champion quality that is practical, effective and efficient
- Establish and develop automated testing
- Participate in all phases of product development lifecycle as a test engineer
- Lead and coordinate test activities across the development team and internal customers
- Author, implement and maintain all V&V deliverables in compliance with SDLC and GxP requirements
- Translate scientific and business requirements to develop test plans, test cases and user documentation for scientific software and data
- Identify risks to product and processes and help with their mitigation
- Help prepare functional and technical specifications
- Help coordinate projects including meeting schedule and document management
- Regularly communicate accomplishments and progress to team members and management
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Life Sciences/Molecular Biology or related field with 3+ years programming work experience in a bio-informatics or science field OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Life Sciences/Molecular Biology or related field with 5+ years programming work experience in a bio-informatics or science field is required
- Must have 2+ years experience in test automation or using Java, Python, scripting (preferably Python and SQL) and ability to learn C#
- Ability to develop automated test cases/scripts from manual tests
- Ability to run automated testing and debug issues found within automation code
- Ability to create automated testing framework
- Experience working in regulated environment, following SDLC and GxP requirements
- Proficiency working in Windows environments, MS Office and SQL databases. Knowledge of Linux environment preferred.

- Understanding of Agile and other software development methodologies
- Understanding wet lab techniques and principles in the field of Molecular Biology, Genomics, and/or Biochemistry
- Knowledge of immunology, HLA
