The location for this opportunity is in Melbourne, FL and will be primarily based within our office spaces to support program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. In this role you will be developing software for an aircraft system simulation that integrates multiple Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) to provide representative flight characteristics, mission system performance, signatures, and weapon interfaces. As a staff engineer reporting to a simulation team product owner, the selected candidate will be expected to make detailed software architecture and design decisions in response to team priorities and schedule constraints. You will document and communicate software architecture decisions for the team while mentoring junior developers and perform as an individual contributor at the code-level to achieve team software product objectives.
