About the position

GoFundMe is searching for a passionate and driven Staff Product Manager with consumer fintech experience. In this high impact role you will build innovative financial tools that will enable individuals to manage their charitable donations with ease and efficiency. You will work with a passionate cross functional team to deliver meaningful financial and charitable experiences for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive product and growth strategy for our new wallet product, aligned with the company's vision and growth objectives.
  • Lead the full product development lifecycle, from conception to launch, collaborating with engineering, design, legal, finance, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Own the product roadmap and prioritize features based on user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Conduct deep market and user research to understand the competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and customer needs, shaping the product to meet market demands.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across legal, compliance, and finance to ensure the product meets regulatory and risk management requirements.
  • Define and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product and use data-driven insights to iterate, improve, and optimize the user experience.
  • Own the product launch and drive go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing and growth teams, ensuring a successful launch and scaling post-launch.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in product management, with gradually increased responsibility.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in fintech and/or financial services, with a proven track record working on back-end financial systems including ledgers, pay-ins, pay-outs, wallets, reconciliation, data, integrations with 3rd party systems and more.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable product plans that resonate with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, driving clarity and focus on what matters.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, managing complex product roadmaps and collaborating with multiple departments to bring innovative products to life.
  • Data-driven and use key metrics to guide product iterations and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for articulating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA from a top school and/or management consulting experience at a top firm.
  • Entrepreneurial experience as a founder.
