About the position

Echodyne offers the world’s first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for a wide range of industries and applications. Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Our team is committed to developing scalable and user-friendly data tools to enhance both R&D and business decision-making as well as operational processes. We are looking for motivated, curious summer interns to join our team and contribute to building robust data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Setup a framework to automate the creation of tests for user interaction with our data tools.
  • Research and propose technologies which help to improve the framework.
  • Assist in designing and developing internal data tools for data processing, visualization, and analysis.
  • Work with radar data to support data transformation and integration tasks.
  • Test and validate tool performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Document processes, workflows, and best practices for the framework setup and its usage.
  • Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Currently a rising senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient at Python.
  • Understanding of front-end development or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, Bokeh) is a plus. We use Holoviz libraries with Bokeh.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (SQL) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.
