About the position

This position is the subject matter expert for warehouse management systems solutions including all periphery systems such as reporting, labor management, inventory optimization, inventory planning, etc. This individual is responsible for both hardware and software support of the site. Schedule: Mon - Fri Morning Shift (must be flexible).

Responsibilities

  • Applies working knowledge of SAP and/or use of technical knowledge of connecting to and manipulating relational databases, extracting data, and writing/modifying business intelligence and other systems reports.
  • Conducts system configuration, including establishing new locations, zones, search paths, reason codes, and label development in concert with customer.
  • Conducts periodic inventory slotting and zoning analysis in warehouse, and executes changes in collaboration with Operations when customer activates this functionality.
  • Assists reporting solution administration, providing analytical queries and tools for operational management as needed.
  • Supports evaluation of system functionality for application in warehouse operation.
  • Tests software upgrades and updates software validation documentation.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses system issues for users on-site.
  • Escalates issues to Kenco Level 2 Support desk and/or customer IT Support staff as needed if they cannot be resolved on-site.
  • Modifies warehouse management system security files to add new employees, delete former employees, and change employee name, following notice received from computer user departments and personnel office.
  • All Sign on capabilities/needs flow through this role to customer for activation or de-activation.
  • Ability to manipulate/create Excel pivot tables.
  • Performs basic computer, printer and RF repairs, including work station integration.
  • Documents system processes in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Trains employees on system and related device usage.
  • Addresses complaints, resolves problems, and instructs users on corrective actions.
  • Develops custom reports as directed by the General Manager.
  • Creates, modifies and controls items contained in the SKU Master database.
  • Maintains Equipment Support contracts and is the primary contact for Equipment vendor support.
  • Misc. tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in IT or equivalent technical support experience or equivalent WMS exposure in operations.
  • Required experience with SAP, RTCIS, WMS, VPN, Apple.
  • 1-3 years' experience using or supporting warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Excel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with coding preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and varying hours as needed.
  • Must be willing to serve in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • SQL Query/Programming skills.
  • Warehousing or Logistics Industry experience.
  • Help Desk or User Resolution experience.
