About the position
The System Administrator position is with the US Space Force located at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. This is a full-time role that requires onsite work and offers benefits. The candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance and any IAT Level II certification.
Responsibilities
- System Setup & Configuration
- Install and configure software, hardware, and virtual networks
- Set up user accounts and workstations
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Maintenance & Monitoring
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure systems run efficiently and securely
- Apply patches and updates to operating systems and applications
- Manage Licenses and CAs
- Support & Documentation
- Provide technical support to users and resolve IT-related issues
- Create and maintain internal documentation, manuals, and IT policies
- Train staff on new technologies and system usage
- Understand STIG compliance and implementation.
Requirements
- Strong Knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, VMWare, ESXI
- Strong knowledge and background in Cisco virtual machines to include (CUCM, CMS, PCD, CIMC etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Certifications like MCSA or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.
