Come join Platform Validation (PV) team, part of the Intel Client Computing Group (CCG), we are responsible for validation of all CCG platforms such as Desktop, Clamshell and Detachable notebooks/Tablets. We are looking for a System Software Validation Engineer to enable, validate, and debug platform software stacks for Intel client platforms. The role involves developing validation strategies, integrating platform features, supporting execution teams, and resolving platform issues in key technical areas like power management, thermal management, and processor cores, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Integrates, validates, and debugs software across the stack for a specific product, platform, feature, or technology.
  • Designs and develops a software validation environment, the integration, and the enabling of the software stack.
  • Responsible for the creation of validation plans, automation, associated methodologies, and triage and debugging of failures.
  • Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, triages failures, and recommends or develops corrective action.
  • Collaborates with Ingredient Software dev partners, Program Leads and Customer Engineering team to drive validation coverage and Quality assessment for Platform Software stack releases.
  • Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality, automation, and product release efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field, with 4+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in system software integration, validation, and debug.
  • Experience in the Power Management domain or similar and platform integration on Windows OS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with computer system architecture with specific knowledge of system-level power management flows, including IP-specific, controller-specific, and bus-level power management flows.
  • Experience with software debugging techniques and tools, such as WinDBG, ETL, and protocol analyzers.
  • Experience in Test Automation, Python, C/C++ and Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
