About the position
Replit is seeking a Technical Product Designer, you'll be the bridge between complex technical capabilities and intuitive user experiences. If you're energized by building from the ground up in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly, this role is for you. This is a high-impact role where your design decisions will directly influence our product direction and user adoption.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design processes from user research to final implementation
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for technical products
- Partner closely with engineering to understand technical constraints and opportunities
- Participate in product planning and technical architecture discussions
- Translate technical concepts into accessible user experiences
- Design APIs, developer tools, and technical documentation experiences
- Create designs that scale with system complexity and data volume
- Creation of design systems and component-based design thinking
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 1+ years designing technical products
- Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and software development processes
- Familiarity with frontend development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
- Experience designing for APIs, databases, or developer tools
- Understanding of system architecture and data flow concepts
- Experience with version control systems (Git) is a plus
