About the position

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager located in Atlanta, GA. The Technical Product Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging product design and the broader product platform strategy. Working closely with platform product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will develop technical roadmaps and plans that support product platform strategy and business objectives. In addition to shaping the strategy for new product development, you will lead initiatives related to product support, improvement, and cost optimization for your assigned component(s).

Responsibilities

  • Own Component Roadmaps: Develop and communicate plans for current, future, and legacy components, addressing relevant needs and opportunities for all lines of business (New Installation, Service, Repair, Modernization).
  • Support Platform Product Managers: Assist in the development of system-level specifications and ensure your component roadmaps and specifications will meet product platform strategy.
  • Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with management in Operations, R&D, Sales, Supply Chain/Manufacturing, Field Engineering to understand and gain alignment on (often-competing) business needs and priorities.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Develop End-of-Life strategies for legacy components, ensuring business and supply chain needs are addressed across all lines of business (New Installation, Service, Repair, Modernization).
  • Service Growth: Develop and propose component strategies to improve and grow service and repair lines of business.
  • Competitive Analysis: Research competitor offerings, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Technology Trends: Stay informed on emerging technologies, market shifts, and industry trends, applying insights to enhance your component strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related technical degree/industry experience)
  • 7-10 years of experience in engineering, technical product management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years in elevator industry, preferred
  • Solid understanding of elevator technology (expertise in signalization or electrical components preferred)
  • Strong communication skills; able to organize and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and product strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to organize and use data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to lead teams and problem solve in new and ambiguous situations.
  • Team-player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong self-motivation and independence, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, design rules, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex attributes, specifications, and requirements.
