About the position

The successful candidate will be the catalyst for innovation and operational excellence, empowering teams to deliver impactful, future-ready product solutions that drive the organization’s success. Acting as a strategic enabler to the organization, you will deliver scalable, innovative, and cohesive solutions that address complex business needs. You will be an integral member of the core team responsible for engaging with potential clients (through the RFP process) to understand their needs and create comprehensive & compelling proposals that can win business for the company. Your role will align with multi-quarter objectives and empower teams to achieve optimal delivery efficiency and impact. The candidate should have a strong technical background (experience working in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space will be a plus), should be a thought leader, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and be an analytical and structured thinker. This individual must be able to think broadly about Visa's business / Value Added Services business unit and drive the expansion of Visa’s Acceptance Solutions platform & offerings. The candidate should possess a strong Technical background, with demonstrated expertise in contributing to medium to large cross-functional projects. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in the payments, internet or related industries. The successful candidate must be a hands-on person with proven ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives. To be successful in this position, this individual must be highly effective working both independently and in cross-functional capacities to provide a supporting role in identifying, defining, analyzing, prioritizing and refining technology requirements across all categories. Successful candidates will be skilled at forging strong partnerships with business sponsors, product owners, architects, and developers to support the development process. This function will address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit. Beyond the design and planning stages of the development lifecycle, strong Agile expertise is required to collaborate with Scrum teams during implementation phase. This role will also partner with the cross-functional leadership team to help define the roadmap priorities and ensure that it remains aligned with the broader strategy and priorities. This individual will foster innovation, collaboration, leverage new technologies and champion impactful change to build Visa's technology brand through internal and external initiatives. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scalable, innovative, and cohesive solutions that address complex business needs.
  • Engage with potential clients through the RFP process to understand their needs and create comprehensive proposals.
  • Align solutions with multi-quarter objectives.
  • Review user requirements, technical specifications, and solution design documents for accuracy.
  • Identify dependencies and risks related to projects.
  • Create, maintain, and organize all documents related to a project's solution.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams during the implementation phase.
  • Define roadmap priorities in partnership with cross-functional leadership.
  • Foster innovation and collaboration to build Visa's technology brand.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate industry experience within a technology environment.
  • Technical experience in managing products built using Java technologies, API (REST & SOAP), web & mobile development.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and responding to RFPs.
  • Experience in delivering scalable, cohesive, and impactful product solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency working in an agile environment.
  • Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Experience working in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space.
