About the position

As part of the Product Planning Department, the Technology & Product Strategy intern will support the effort to coordinate technology and market intelligence. The intern will learn about the latest emerging technologies in the mobility space, including those related to electrification, connectivity, autonomous, AI, and sustainability, by working with and reviewing reports from HATCI engineering teams and accessing HATCI's extensive network of third-party resources for desk research. The intern will write summaries about promising new technologies or supplement existing information by working with suppliers to understand details and development status. Additionally, the intern will support the development of an organized repository for this information, by entering data and making suggestions to programmers to improve usability. The intern will create an in-depth technology market research report on topics such as OEM Electrification Strategy, OEM Connectivity Strategy, and Consumer Sentiment on Electrified Vehicles. The intern will also support preparation for the executive level Technology Coordination Committee and attend to get a glimpse into how decisions are made for advanced development. Finally, the intern will help build up the Product Planning wiki and knowledge base using tools such as Smartsheet, Notion, Power BI, and SharePoint to organize and summarize internal processes and procedures for better communication to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Student in junior/senior year or within 6 months of graduation; a graduate student will also be considered.
  • Valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
