As a Transportation Roadway/Highways Lead Engineer based in Salt Lake City, you will have the chance to utilize your transportation design expertise in roadway/highway to serve on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. Project opportunities may include highway interchange design, roadway design for new light rail lines, federal lands projects, and local road projects. Responsibilities
- Lead project designs for roadway/highway infrastructure.
- Utilize transportation design expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to solve unique challenges.
- Expand the company's presence in the Utah transportation market.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing design team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred
- At least 15 years of previous professional engineering roadway design and geometrics experience leading projects
- Previous Department of Transportation (DOT), County or Municipal experience
- Strong Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads background for modeling and preparing construction documents
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Deep knowledge of the Utah transportation market and established relationships with key clients such as UDOT and local municipalities
- Strong technical background in transportation infrastructure project delivery such as Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build
- Passion for mentoring a high-performing design team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Strong business development acumen to pursue and secure new project opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a servant-leadership mindset.
