About the position

WANTED: UX/UI Designer...ready to drive change... lead... grow with us... challenge themselves... make an impact! We're looking for a mid level UX/UI Designer to join our small, but mighty team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of client engagements, ranging from major global corporations to smaller, developing businesses. You will be responsible for engaging with clients, capturing briefs, and developing concepts and design systems that communicate their stories effectively or address strategic challenges. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams — including developers, animators, strategists, and content creators — making strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute creative concepts, style guides and design systems that adhere to client brand standards, ensuring the usability, consistency, relevance, and functionality of the finished product.
  • Present layouts to clients for the ongoing milestones of project delivery.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls to gather requirements, provide input on visual solutions, and communicate design rationale effectively.
  • Inspire and motivate clients to be creatively progressive, through the application of fresh and inventive visual work.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned design tasks, managing workload efficiently within project timelines and adapting to shifting deadlines and requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a digital creative role.
  • A good understanding of user experience (UX) and user-centred design principles (UCD).
  • Problem solver and able to evaluate a creative brief and develop original and innovative ideas.
  • Passion and attention to detail.
  • Strong conceptual and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility (with examples).
  • Awareness or experience of working with Digital Design systems.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence to speak about the reasons for your design decisions.
  • Understanding of creative processes with a strong awareness for the importance of brand and identity within an organisation.
  • Figma is our tool of choice, but otherwise experience of Sketch, XD, the Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping and interaction tools are also useful.
  • Excellent understanding of typography, image manipulation and knowledge of illustration techniques.
