About the position

To continue providing innovative solutions and services to the Department of Defense (DOD) and other government agencies, we are seeking an experienced UX UI HCD Engineer to join our team, working on high-impact projects that support national security and defense initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions
  • Develop and maintain design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and design solutions
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and design standards
  • Work closely with software development teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including design specifications and design rationales
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and design tools
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure design is implemented correctly
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX UI HCD engineering, with a focus on human-centered design, user experience, and research
  • Active DOD security clearance at or above Secret level
  • Experience working on DOD contracts and the Pentagon
  • Experience in Wargames, Tabletop Exercises, and modeling
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in UX UI HCD engineering
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and InVision
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles, user experience, and user interface design
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Computer Science, or a related field

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with design systems and style guides
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and regulations
  • Experience working with government agencies and contractors
  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, anthropology, Computer Science, or a related field
