About the position
Embark on a Greenfield project to transform mature Project Management tool sets into an integrated persona-based platform with streamlined user workflows and a high degree of automation and scale. Work closely with BlackRock Portfolio managers to help deliver tools to external clients. Partner closely with world class Product Managers, UX designers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Client Support teams to deliver high quality, scalable and resilient PM capabilities. Hands-on software developer working on strategic products and assist with upgrading the Aladdin platform. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Hands-on coding using Java including SpringBoot. Building scalable server-side applications for deployment across a wide range of platforms and environments. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Six (6) years of experience as an Associate, Software Engineer, Vice President or related occupation.
- Six (6) years of experience with Java development and web stack performance tuning.
- Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs and Websockets.
- Five (5) years of experience with design patterns, SDLC, Springboot, and automation techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure.
- Experience with micro frontends and micro services.
- Knowledge of finance, investment, or portfolio management processes.
- Two (2) years of experience with Agile SDLC using test frameworks like Cypress, Mocha, Jest, and Karma.
