About the position

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, UI / UX Dev in New York, NY. Build applications to monitor, measure, and communicate risks generated by the Firm's business lines within the Liquidity Risk department. Build application systems in a multi-tier architecture including analyzing requirements, designing, developing, and testing. Ensure quality and stability of delivered software using unit testing, automated functional testing, and quality gates. Work closely with Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts from the business to understand the business context, analyze, and provide insightful solutions leveraging UX skills to mock screens and workflows. Ensure best practices for all UI/UX development across the entire Liquidity Risk platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build applications to monitor, measure, and communicate risks generated by the Firm's business lines within the Liquidity Risk department.
  • Build application systems in a multi-tier architecture including analyzing requirements, designing, developing, and testing.
  • Ensure quality and stability of delivered software using unit testing, automated functional testing, and quality gates.
  • Work closely with Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts from the business to understand the business context.
  • Analyze and provide insightful solutions leveraging UX skills to mock screens and workflows.
  • Ensure best practices for all UI/UX development across the entire Liquidity Risk platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Associate, Sr. Manager, Software Engineer, or a closely related technical role.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Business Analysis.
  • Experience in Liquidity Risk Domain.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology.
  • Experience in User Experience Design and Wireframing (UX).
  • Proficiency in Angular, Javascript, Typescript, and HTML5.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with Databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Apache Spark.
  • Experience with DevOps and Test Automation.
