About the position

The Vice President of Private Credit at State Street Alpha will serve as a strategic leader responsible for shaping and delivering front-to-back integrated solutions across the private credit lifecycle. This role will drive product strategy, client engagement, and operational excellence for private credit servicing, ensuring alignment with Alpha’s platform vision and the evolving needs of institutional investors.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Private Credit services, including record-keeping, administration, and data delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to evaluate current-state capabilities and identify gaps in servicing, technology, and operating models.
  • Represent Alpha in executive forums, offsites, and client engagements to socialize the future-state vision and secure sponsorship.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to build vertically integrated capabilities across the Alpha platform—from onboarding to reporting.
  • Ensure that private credit workflows are modular, scalable, and interoperable with other asset classes and service components.
  • Embed automation, AI, and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) where appropriate to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead client discovery sessions to understand operational pain points and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of private credit services for new portfolios, ensuring timely setup, documentation, and trade instruction workflows.
  • Establish standardized frameworks for reporting, compliance, and lifecycle management across clients.
  • Monitor service delivery against SLAs and regulatory mandates, including clearing eligibility and margin rules.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve system resilience across private credit instruments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure synchronized reference data and straight-through processing (STP) from front to back.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in private markets or financial product development.
  • Deep understanding of private credit instruments, lifecycle events, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Charles River CRPM, WSO, and related technologies is a plus.
