Responsibilities

  • Continuously control the flow of production in the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that all pulled components of each job are organized and grouped in assigned staging areas.
  • Remove waste materials and assist operators with waste management.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of workflow and processes to enhance productivity.
  • Adhere to safety standards and alert safety hazards to the Area Manager.
  • Conduction business in alignment with Seaway’s core values: Integrity, Team, Courage, Excellence.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing environment or prior printing experience preferred.
  • Able to read and understand production schedules, job tickets, and shipping documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to follow directions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and make critical decisions.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and electric and manual pallet jacks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Manufacturing process and supply inventory control upstream and downstream working knowledge.
  • Continuous improvement working knowledge.
