Responsibilities
- Continuously control the flow of production in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that all pulled components of each job are organized and grouped in assigned staging areas.
- Remove waste materials and assist operators with waste management.
- Assist in continuous improvement of workflow and processes to enhance productivity.
- Adhere to safety standards and alert safety hazards to the Area Manager.
- Conduction business in alignment with Seaway’s core values: Integrity, Team, Courage, Excellence.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing environment or prior printing experience preferred.
- Able to read and understand production schedules, job tickets, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to follow directions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and make critical decisions.
- Ability to operate forklifts and electric and manual pallet jacks.
