About the position
We are looking for a team member to join our Detention Unit staff. This position is part of a progression plan with defined pay increases as you gain skills and knowledge through on-the-job training. Detention Officers are responsible for the operation of the city jail facilities and the welfare of the prisoners confined therein.
Responsibilities
- Processing prisoners that are brought to jail facilities
- Entering pertinent information into the computer
- Searching all prisoners that are processed
- Receiving, storing and safeguarding personal property of prisoners
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
