About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the 2026 Markets Early Career Program in Corporate and Investment Banking. The Markets team delivers a comprehensive set of capital markets products and solutions to the broader Wells Fargo customer base, ranging from distribution of public debt and equity products to hedging interest rates, commodity and equity risks. Analysts may be placed in various businesses including Sales & Trading, Research & Strategy, and Structured Products Banking. The Analyst Program provides the opportunity to gain experience working for one of the most well-regarded financial institutions in the world, with significant responsibilities that may include understanding clients' investment strategies, assisting trading desks, pricing and structuring investment strategies, and preparing research presentations. Analysts will also receive on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and feedback throughout their tenure. The program duration is 2 years, starting in July 2026, with primary locations in Charlotte and New York.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the booking and management of the desk's daily trades.
  • Work with experienced traders in pricing, executing, and hedging risk positions from derivative transactions.
  • Identify market trends to support the trading desk.
  • Support daily business of trading, risk management, modeling, and market-making.
  • Collaborate and consult with internal partners and interact with clients.
  • Prepare research and strategy presentations.
  • Provide analysis for accounts upon request.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Securities Sales Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2024 - June 2025.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a collaborative, change-driven environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience with financial markets, banking, or financial services industry.
  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities such as volunteerism, student organization involvement, or leadership positions.
