The Benefits Marketplace Program Manager at Rippling will play a pivotal role in transforming the benefits experience for employers and employees alike. With over $5 trillion spent annually on benefits globally, the need for a modern, efficient, and user-friendly marketplace is more critical than ever. Rippling is committed to building a seamless platform that connects brokers, employers, and employees, facilitating the discovery, purchase, and utilization of various benefits products. This role will involve overseeing the core processes and partner programs that are essential for the success of the Benefits Marketplace, which includes a diverse range of offerings such as health insurance, retirement savings, and wellness programs. In this position, you will collaborate closely with multiple teams, including Product, Operations, Business Development, and Sales, to develop and enhance the Benefits Marketplace product offering. You will be responsible for creating and scaling processes that simplify the integration of new partners and benefit types, ensuring a smooth experience for clients and employees. Additionally, you will build playbooks to empower sales teams and create dashboards to monitor the marketplace's health and success. The role requires a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses a mix of consulting, growth, and client-facing experience. You will need to demonstrate strong technical and data skills, particularly in understanding API documentation and SQL. The ability to switch between high-level strategic planning and detailed workflow mapping is essential. This position is based in San Francisco, CA, and requires in-office attendance three times a week, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the products and processes that empower rapid and profitable growth of the Benefits Marketplace.
  • Build and scale processes for clients to easily add new integrations, including contracting, data transfer, billing, and payments.
  • Develop and scale processes for adding new partners and benefit types to the marketplace.
  • Create playbooks with GTM to enable sales teams to effectively sell benefit partner products and services.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor the health and success of the marketplace.
  • Scale current products to support tens of millions of employees and over 1,000 benefit partners globally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across product, engineering, design, business development, GTM, and customer-facing functions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in fast-paced environments with a generalist background, including consulting, growth, and/or client-facing roles.
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic technical and data skills, ideally familiarity with API documentation and strong SQL skills (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to switch from high-level strategy and planning to detailed workflow mapping and reporting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in a cross-functional and externally facing role.
  • Experience working with multi-sided marketplaces is a plus.
  • Strong alignment with leadership principles, particularly 'Go and See' and 'Are Right, a Lot.'
