About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at The Springs Living is responsible for managing resident accounts, ensuring accurate billing and collection of rent and services, and auditing Medicaid billing. This role also involves providing guidance and training to Business Office Managers on the accounts receivable system and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection of rent and other services from residents.
  • Audit Medicaid billing for both private and state pay.
  • Provide guidance and training to community Business Office Managers in the accounts receivable system and company policies.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of business processes and Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from community and accounting staff, residents, and family members.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
  • Experience and proficiency with accounting systems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
