About the position

The Administrative Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for planning and managing the complex functions and operations of the UCSF Health BCH SF Departments. This role provides direct administrative, project, and program support to department leaders, focusing on short- and long-term planning across various operational areas including IT, facilities, budget management, and human resources. The position requires a high degree of autonomy and involves complex problem-solving and data analysis to support UCSF Health's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the functions and operations of UCSF Health BCH SF Departments.
  • Provide direct administrative, project, and program support to department leaders.
  • Perform short- and long-term planning for departments and the health system.
  • Manage IT, facilities, budget/financial management, vendor contracts, and communications.
  • Conduct in-depth data and situational analysis for projects and initiatives.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with department leadership and staff.
  • Prioritize issues according to urgency and allocate time and resources effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible administrative operations analysis and/or project management experience.
  • Two or more years of related financial data management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of administrative operational activities such as event planning and risk management.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and human resources policies.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Experience in the health care industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations for budget and personnel management.
  • Project Management Certificate.
