About the position

The Administrative Assistant for the Center for Student Success plays a crucial role in providing support to students, faculty, and staff at the Center for Student Success. This part-time position serves as the first point of contact for inquiries and assistance, while also supporting various advisors and the Director of Student Success in implementing key projects and services. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact and receptionist for students, staff, and faculty in need of assistance from the Center for Student Success
  • Provide students and alumni with general academic information and degree plan status
  • Manage calendars, including scheduling appointments for the Director of Student Success and the Seminary Academic Advisors
  • Strategize with Student Success team on marketing campaigns to increase retention and graduation rates at Southern Seminary and Boyce College
  • Manage and implement exam and quiz proctoring requests for students with academic accommodations
  • Process business expenses, purchases (including P-card reconciliation), check requests, and new employee documents (including PAF processing)
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Review, proofread, and create content for communication pieces sent by Center for Student Success
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Competency in office coordination
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Good grammar and proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal interactions
