About the position

The Assistant Buyer at Shopbop will support the buying team and collaborate with receiving teams and vendors to ensure optimal results. This role involves managing purchase orders, processing reorders, and maintaining vendor relationships while identifying and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set up new vendors
• Enter, manage and organize all Purchase Orders
• Process reorders, SIM issues, receiving issues, RTV's
• Generate multiple reports for the buying team
• Maintain vendor relationships and terms by responding quickly and accurately to both internal and external questions and requests for information
• Research problems
• Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements in a timely manner
• Assist in other miscellaneous processes and procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excel experience
