This full-time administration position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended hours as necessary.
Position Summary
Responsible for clinical site acquisition through the Southwest Michigan Clinical Placement Consortium (SWMPC), ACEMAPP, and regional clinical partner consortiums. Oversight of the scheduling of all clinical sites and student clinical site placement. Collaborate with employers to address pre-access requirements. Supervise and evaluate adjunct nursing faculty. Ensures simulations designs and resources support educational needs of the Nursing Department, including training and support of faculty utilizing simulations. Collaborate with Simulations Operations Technician to coordinate external stake holders use of simulation space for continuing education of nurses. Responsible for coordinating and managing all functions within the Nursing Education Department in the absence of the Dean, Health Sciences.

Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area and presentation venues. Travel by car required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as independent mobility between work areas, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 - 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Science in Nursing Education or equivalent from an accredited college or university
2. Current unencumbered RN License in the State of Michigan
3. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse
4. Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar level applications at an intermediate level
Preferred but not Required
1. Minimum of three (3) years of management and/or administrative experience
2. Experience teaching at a community college
3. Experience working with a diverse population
4. Credentials in Simulations (i.e. Certified Healthcare Simulation Education (CHSE), Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional (CMSP), Certified Healthcare Simulations Operations Specialist (CHSOS))
Proposed Salary
According to the Kellogg Community College Hay Administrative Compensation program, the 2024-2025 annual salary range for a Director 1 position, $71,811 to $89,764 to start.

Essential Function: WORK-BASED LEARNING - CLINICAL COORDINATION
Description
Responsible for clinical site acquisition through the Southwest Michigan Clinical Placement Consortium (SWMPC), ACEMAPP, and regional consortiums.
Responsible for scheduling of all clinical sites.
Under the direction of the Dean, Health Sciences, hire, orient, assign, develop, monitor, and evaluate adjunct nursing faculty.
Problem-solve, collaborate, and effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, and program leadership to ensure effective daily operations to promote student and departmental success.
Essential Function: SIMULATION LAB OVERSIGHT
Description
Coordinates with faculty and simulation operations technician to establish and maintain simulation lab policies, procedures, and use in accordance with simulation best practices and standards (ACEN, INACSL, CAAHEP, and MDHHS).
Serve as a resource to faculty in development and implementation of evidence-based simulation models and/or activities.
Collaborate with faculty and department/academic leadership to develop, plan, and implement state of the art simulation experiences in accordance with best practices in simulation education, and in alignment with curricular goals.
Implement, facilitate, and debrief simulation-based learning and assessment activities.
Maintain currency in simulation education.
Provide guidance and orientation to instructors regarding simulation laboratory procedures.
Create and implement simulation educational programs for new simulation faculty including pre-briefing, simulation, and debriefing.
