About the position

The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Qdoba is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service and food quality, and managing staff in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. This role emphasizes developing a people-centric culture and compliance with policies and regulations while driving sales growth and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage restaurant operations in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Monitor staffing levels and recruit employees according to talent and job profiles.
  • Train, develop, coach, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Assign activities and tasks to team members.
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance.
  • Hold the restaurant team accountable for delivering excellent guest service and food quality.
  • Interact with guests and the community, responding to questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Maintain brand image by ensuring restaurant cleanliness and excellent service.
  • Analyze restaurant operational and financial performance using management information tools.
  • Identify trends and implement action plans for improvement.
  • Focus on developing long-term sales growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
