Assisted Living Medicaid Billing Specialist

About the position

Tarantino Properties is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Assisted Living Medicaid Billing Specialist. This position is focused on managing Medicaid billing processes for assisted living residents, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and communicating with various stakeholders. The role emphasizes the importance of following established guidelines and maintaining compliance with state regulations while providing support to residents.

Responsibilities

• Track resident data and process charges and paperwork for Medicaid State payers.
• Submit monthly billing for multiple states through clearinghouse or web portals.
• Review payments from state/MCO for accuracy and maintain authorizations for services.
• Perform account research and necessary adjustments based on state/MCO regulations.
• Correspond with payers, communities, and caseworkers to correct or modify payments received.
• Identify potential issues through review of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Research and assist in processing state/MCO refunds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two years of experience with Assisted Living Medicaid billing including Arizona state Medicaid programs and MCO programs.
