About the position

As a Banker at Busey, you will play a crucial role in strengthening customer relationships through engaging sales conversations. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and address the financial needs of customers and non-customers alike, recommending appropriate Busey products and services to enhance their financial wellbeing. This position offers an opportunity for growth within the company while focusing on customer service and sales.

Responsibilities

• Identify customers' and non-customers' financial needs and sell all appropriate products and services.
• Service customer's accounts as needed and proactively communicate with customers to ensure their financial needs are met.
• Identify needs-based opportunities and make sales referrals to all areas of the corporation to meet customers' financial needs.
• Assist with Teller duties on an as needed basis.

Requirements

• Requires a High School diploma.
• Requires previous banking and/or sales experience.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of bank compliance, security, and operational policies.
• Possess knowledge of all bank products, features, and benefits.
• Ability to assess a customer's needs and understand what solutions are impactful.
• Ability to accurately count money.
• Ability to learn to operate basic office equipment and banking systems.
• Ability to perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
