About the position

The Breast Imaging Quality Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing patient scheduling efficiency and ensuring compliance with MQSA standards within the Breast Quality Program. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving the quality of breast imaging services, including communication with patients and healthcare providers, quality review of imaging reports, and coordination of patient appointments.

Responsibilities

• Improve patient schedule utilization and compliance with MQSA standards.
• Assist in minimizing same-day cancellations and delays on the date of service.
• Communicate effectively with patients, consumer access team, and referring providers.
• Conduct quality reviews of breast imaging reports across all BHSF locations.
• Obtain and enter required pathology information into the breast imaging reporting system.
• Reconcile patient notification and recall letters for breast imaging patients.
• Coordinate with various departments for patient appointment scheduling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a radiology or medical office/hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential.
• Experience with Windows and imaging programs is required.
• Familiarity with breast imaging reporting systems, MQSA, and quality review is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
