About the position

The Budtender position at Good Day Farm involves providing exceptional customer service to patients in a cannabis dispensary setting. The role focuses on assisting patients with product selection, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Budtender is expected to have a sound knowledge of cannabis products and to educate patients on their safe use, while also processing transactions and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients to the dispensary.
• Advising patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
• Keeping up-to-date with new cannabis products and industry trends.
• Processing patient payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ensuring the store is clean and well-organized at all times.
• Educating patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
• Weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
• Checking patient identification to verify legal age and credentials.
• Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring adequate stock on the sales floor.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued Agent Card and pass a background check upon hire.
• Proven experience working as a budtender is preferred, but not required.
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits, or willingness to learn.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well with other team members.
