Positive individual with neat, clean appearance; pleasant, courteous demeanor. Proven work record demonstrating reliability, flexibility and initiative. Ability to comply with all State, Federal, Colorado Department of Education and School District policy regulating transportation Ability and demeanor to instruct and control large groups of children or special needs children while safely driving a bus. Knowledge of discipline strategies preferred Have good communication skills Able to pass written tests and First Aid course Must pass extensive background check Must have a clean driving record Able to pass CDOT physical including drug test JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the District's policy and procedures, including all local, state and federal laws. Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle. Maintains student conduct to insure the safety of all students. Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner. Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state. Promote good feelings and high morale within the School District by maintaining a positive relationship with co-workers and other District employees Administers first aid as necessary. Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.
