About the position

The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in driving sales of laser welders, engravers, and related equipment within the jewelry industry. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, leveraging technical knowledge, and collaborating with service technicians to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional passionate about the jewelry industry, eager to lead a team in expanding market presence, and willing to travel frequently for customer engagement and market research.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, organize, and maintain long-standing customer relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in major jewelry markets.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to showcase products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers.
  • Provide tailored solutions that enhance customer operations and productivity.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide training/technical support.
  • Partner with service technicians for seamless installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and service teams.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution of sales initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to penetrate new markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in equipment sales or the jewelry industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex machinery and software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and trade shows.
