Business Marketing CTE Teacher (.5) - Anticipated Position

About the position

The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is seeking a Business Marketing Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher. Candidates must have experience working with students with learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs along with strong skills in differentiated instruction. This also includes demonstrated abilities in data informed instruction and the Next Generation Learning Standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lessons in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, and related topics aligned with New York State Learning Standards and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) framework.
• Use differentiated instruction to accommodate varied learning styles, abilities, and interests.
• Integrate real-world applications and current industry practices into instruction to enhance relevance and student engagement.

Requirements

• New York State Department of Education CTE Certification: Business and Marketing Certification 7-12 is required.
• New York State Department of Education Certification: Students with Disabilities, 7-12 or All Grades is required.
