About the position

The Business Systems Consultant Senior role at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota is crucial for the development, implementation, and delivery of operational business systems related to new and modified product lines. This position requires in-depth research and analysis to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance, acting as a subject matter expert across various divisions including Product Management, Law Services, Sales, and IT.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate business requirements, coding, and testing of operational business systems for new and updated products.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to identify necessary operational changes and recommend solutions.
• Develop requirements and test cases to ensure accuracy and timely implementation.
• Design, code, test, and perform SQL queries and regression testing of operational systems and business changes.
• Maintain standardized methods and documentation of implementation procedures for a consistent customer experience.
• Create formal documentation and training materials, providing direction to business units and users.
• Manage the resolution of issues escalated from counterparts enterprise-wide.
• Serve as a mentor to team co-workers.

Requirements

• 5 years related professional experience, including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience.
• Demonstrated organizational relationship management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under tight time frames.
• Strong experience with MS Office suite and SQL querying.
