About the position

This position involves collaborating with a finish carpenter who specializes in woodworking and cabinetry. The carpenter is seeking a new source for custom cabinets, bookcases, and built-ins due to the retirement of local cabinet shop owners. The role focuses on providing high-quality workmanship for various projects, typically involving one to three cabinets or built-in components per job.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the finish carpenter to produce custom cabinetry and woodworking projects.
• Bid on projects and provide quotes based on the RFQ process.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship in all cabinetry and woodworking tasks.
• Manage lead times effectively, typically around ten to twelve weeks for project completion.

Requirements

• Experience in cabinetry and woodworking.
• Ability to produce high-quality finished products.
• Familiarity with the bidding and quoting process for projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with local cabinet shops.
• Knowledge of custom cabinetry design and installation.
