About the position

The Camp Counselor for Summer 2025 at IMG Academy is responsible for ensuring a safe and supportive environment for campers aged 10-18. This role involves monitoring and enforcing Academy rules, providing guidance, and facilitating communication between campers, parents, and staff. Counselors will engage in various activities, assist with camper needs, and promote a positive atmosphere while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a responsible, adult presence, providing guidance and support in the residence halls, Campus Center, and common areas for campers aged 10-18.
• Act as an authority figure while providing guidance and support for campers.
• Serve as a central communication liaison between parents and campers, and when needed, between coaches and administration.
• Assist with the campers' residential and activity experience.
• Monitor students in dorms and throughout campus to ensure their well-being.
• Collaborate with the Health Services Team as needed.
• Assist campers with day-to-day needs and activities.
• Plan and execute camper activities, promoting a positive healthy environment.
• Develop and practice personal leadership skills.
• Assist with camper transport to and from activity opportunities, including on and off-campus excursions.
• Communicate and follow up on conduct expectations of all campers.
• Collaborate and communicate emergency response and crisis management plans for various situations.
• Assist with orientation and acclimation of campers to campus life.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in process in a related area or Bachelor's degree completed in a related area.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with PCs including MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual
• Experience in educational, sports, or related field.
• Summer camp experience.
• Proficient with computer and web applications.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Experience in counseling, crisis response, and mediation.
• Experience as a collegiate athlete.
