About the position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Cellular Therapies Administrative Coordinator in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for providing high-level support to the Director of Cellular Therapies. This position will regularly interact with and provide the highest customer service to both internal and external customers. This position will coordinate inter-departmental projects and activities and provide support to Cellular Therapies staff as requested. This position is responsible for notifying the Director of Cellular Therapies of any issues arising in the department or with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project management and coordination; ensure all project tasks are completed timely
  • Review and audit organizational processes, policies, and procedures. Make and execute recommendations for improvements based on findings
  • Develop and create reports and communicate relevant data and findings to key stakeholders
  • Act as the system administrator for Cellular Therapies-related software, including processing, logistics, billing, and inventory
  • Assist with incoming inquiries and orders for products and services and assist with coordination of logistics of products
  • Ability to assist logistics team with various tasks as needed
  • Ability to assist with commercial processing and cryopreservation services as needed
  • Support implementation of new research and/or commercial processing, cryopreservation, and testing services
  • Provide continued support and oversight of manufacturing, testing, and shipments for the Director of Cellular Therapies and coordinate process improvements to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
  • Liaison between the Director of Cellular Therapies and other departments and external customers
  • Monitor for and communicate any customer dissatisfaction or issues immediately to the Director of Cellular Therapies
  • Complete projects as requested
  • Provide training to staff as requested
  • May be expected to travel

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous high-level executive or senior leadership administrative support experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
  • Proven leadership skills and self-confidence
  • Analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with travel logistics, scheduling and meeting management
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Extensive project management experience, including: organizational skills, ability to prioritize, coordinate with others and meet deadlines preferred
