About the position

The Senior Operations Management Trainee (Senior OMT) at BioLife is a leadership development role designed for senior leaders looking to enhance their skills and prepare for accelerated career growth. This position involves extensive travel to various plasma centers across the country, where trainees will gain hands-on experience in managing high-volume blood plasma collection facilities. The program lasts approximately six months, followed by a 12-month period to secure a Plasma Center Operations Manager role. The role emphasizes continuous learning, team management, exceptional customer service, and networking with supportive leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an advanced leadership development program across plasma centers.
  • Drive a personal learning plan covering all aspects of managing plasma collection facilities.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment and motivate diverse team members.
  • Provide employee feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support team development.
  • Network and build relationships across BioLife to advance career opportunities.
  • Create a positive donor experience to retain donors and assist with production.
  • Provide operational support and conduct management training.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience leading medium to large teams (20+ direct reports).
  • Ability to travel up to 90-100% during the Trainee Program.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license for the duration of the program.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, and the FDA.
  • Experience in a highly regulated or high-volume retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, technical, and leadership skills.
