Leaps and Bounds Pediatric Therapy is excited to find someone to join our Speech Therapy team! Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.) Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent family-centered patient care, supporting functional goals and needs of the patient and their family.
  • Perform assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determine speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
  • Carry out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.
  • Help patients accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices and strategies.
  • Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develop speech therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, providing services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP, as needed.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist- SLP certification.
  • Pediatric experience a plus.
  • Clear Livescan.
  • TB Test.
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Availability must include until 7pm during weekdays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility.
  • Be a Strong-Team Player.
  • Have a desire to continue to grow as a professional.
  • Regularly stand, bend, stoop, lift and move intermittently during shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to push or pull wheeled equipment over 100lbs.
