About the position

The Direct Care Professional position at Mission Road Ministries involves providing essential support and training to children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. This role focuses on enhancing the residents' daily living skills through active treatment and therapeutic interventions, contributing to their overall development and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing self-help skills training and therapeutic treatments to residents with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
• Implement 'Active Treatment' by formally training individuals in activities of daily living.
• Teach residents various skills such as laundry, cooking, money management, and self-medication.
• Observe and document residents' behavior to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.
