About the position

Michael Baker International is seeking a Summer '25 Intern to join their Transportation team in Ridgeland, MS. This role is designed for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing an opportunity to assist with various technical duties and projects within the Civil Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Assist project managers and engineers with various tasks.
• Draft details and make minor AutoCAD revisions.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or a senior level team member.
• Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation.

Requirements

• Enrolled in pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of some secondary completed coursework in students' field of study.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD or Microstation design software is preferred.
