About the position

The Comprehensive Health Planner II position involves reviewing, examining, and evaluating complex applications for licensure across various professional licensing boards and programs. This role emphasizes customer service, information management, and compliance, while also managing complaint case management and other projects. The position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a team dedicated to providing exceptional service to the community, with a focus on work-life balance and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects and processes involved with licensing applications for professionals and entities based on applicable laws and rules.
  • Write complex communications and technical reports addressing identified problems and corrective actions.
  • Plan and prepare board meetings, hearings, and other events, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and document compilation and dissemination.
  • Manage and coordinate administrative complaint case management and enforcement actions and outcome reports.
  • Examine, interpret, and explain regulatory laws and rules.
  • Manage several projects effectively and maximize workflow efficiencies.
  • Develop and deliver informational presentations at meetings, workshops, and other events to explain department programs and policies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Health Sciences, Health Education, Public Administration, Government, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in the planning, development, coordination, and/or evaluation of health programs or services, or an equivalent seven (7) year combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of health care and allied health care professions and health services systems.
  • Ability to establish effective communication with health care professionals, businesses, regulators, enforcement officials, and attorneys.
  • Ability to develop, organize, and complete planning and research projects.
