About the position
Wires and assembles electrical/mechanical products according to written instructions, drawings, or diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Assembles electrical/mechanical products or sub-assemblies according to written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
- Wires electrical and automation products, panels, cabinets and sub-assemblies according to written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
- Operates hand tools, power tools and production equipment.
- Maintains the highest level of quality on all production output.
- Assists in monitoring inventory.
- Assists with quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.
- Responsible for working safely at all times and maintaining a safe work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years’ experience in wiring preferred
- Technical competence
- Reading design specifications, technical drawings and bill of materials
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to read design specifications, drawings, and /or wiring diagrams
- Must be able to wire electrical/mechanical products according to specifications
- Must be able to work over 40 hours a week as necessary
