About the position

Zinqué is seeking a passionate and experienced Kitchen Supervisor for our Westlake Village location. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume food and beverage operations, with a focus on French cuisine and other culinary techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen operations and staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and scheduling of kitchen staff.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, focusing on French cuisine and other culinary styles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume food and beverage operations.
  • Experience in both non-corporate and corporate chain restaurants preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ordering and scheduling in a kitchen environment.
  • Strong hospitality orientation and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Health Department rules and regulations.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Food handler certificate required.
  • Ability to work varied and flexible hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with pizza and pasta preparation.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with omelets and egg dishes is a plus.
