About the position
As a Counsel, Commercial and Product within our Legal team, you will be providing strategic legal counseling to cross-functional business partners on a wide range of commercial transactions, product development, and related matters in the exciting and fast-paced augmented reality space.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review various commercial agreements, including professional services agreements, intellectual property agreements, data protection agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, and other technology agreements
- Work cross-functionally with business partners to provide strategic legal advice on commercial and product matters
- Develop and deliver training to internal teams on legal issues relevant to our products and services
- Maintain and improve contract templates, forms, policies, playbooks, and scalable processes to drive efficiency and innovation across the company
- Identify and assess legal risks and propose practical mitigation solutions
- Conduct legal research to stay informed about evolving laws and regulations that impact our products, services, and industry.
Requirements
- 4+ years of legal experience either at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel
- J.D. or foreign equivalent
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Demonstrated experience drafting, negotiating, and closing technology transactions
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent legal and business judgment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as an in-house lawyer in the technology industry
- Strong understanding of legal/contractual issues related to artificial intelligence, intellectual property, and data protection
- Working knowledge of product regulatory matters related to hardware or software products
- Experience using contract lifecycle management platforms
