About the position

The Custodian position involves cleaning and maintaining County buildings and grounds to ensure they are orderly, sanitary, and visually appealing. The custodian will also be responsible for establishing a positive rapport with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain County buildings and grounds.
• Ensure facilities are orderly, sanitary, and attractive.
• Safely operate and care for cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality in all tasks.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to safely operate and care for cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently and complete duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with supervisors, fellow employees, and the general public.
• Possess a valid Nebraska Driver's License and be eligible to be insured under the County's insurance policies.
