About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Richelieu Hardware plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service support. This position focuses on obtaining, analyzing, and verifying order information while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The representative will specialize in closet solutions and will work closely with both customers and outside sales representatives to facilitate orders and provide sales quotes.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls from customers placing orders and provide sales quotes.
  • Work closely alongside outside sales representatives with customer orders and quotes.
  • Assist walk-in customers in the showroom with questions and order placement.
  • Solicit new or complimentary sales for customers via phone and face-to-face in the showroom.
  • Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues.

Requirements

  • Experience providing customer service by phone or in-person.
  • Knowledge or curiosity about interior design, cabinetry, millwork, kitchen and bath design, or closets.
  • Good general math ability; comfortable with working with imprecise numbers and calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with all customers.
  • Thorough and committed to providing top-quality service to customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Spanish to assist with bilingual customers.
  • AS400 (database) experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional college or educational courses may be helpful.
