About the position

This dual rate position as a Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation and conduct of assigned poker games, ensuring compliance with gaming procedures, internal controls, and established rules. The role emphasizes maintaining a positive gaming environment and providing excellent guest service while managing game operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deals cards to players and shuffles as appropriate according to established rules and regulations.
• Announces winning hand to players.
• Ensures that correct 'rake' is taken from the winning pot.
• Verifies beginning and ending chip and money balances and confirms supporting documentation.
• Receives fills and distributes credits.
• Ensures that wagers are placed before cards are dealt.
• Monitors game and notifies supervisor of any disputes, problems or concerns with either a patron or the progress of the game.
• Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior guest service, poker experience and/or poker certificate required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Virginia Lottery license.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
• Familiarity with Hard Rock operations.
• Understanding of policies and procedures related to gaming and ability to identify various cheating techniques.
