The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics - all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners. Join us as a Software Engineer of the Software Engineering Rotation Program within the Infrastructure Solutions Group in one of the following locations: Round Rock, Texas or Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The ISG Engineering Rotation Program allows candidates new to software engineering or systems engineering to join a fast-paced, dynamic organization in a supportive environment that encourages learning and growth. The program consists of 3 rotations, each 12 months long, to allow new hires the ability to learn across different projects, solutions, and technical deliverables needed to bring our products to market. Built into the program are key opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and career progression.

  • Drive an end-to-end project that will impact ISG Strategy.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, mentors, and peer advisors.
  • Complete the rotation program with a deeper understanding of the ISG Engineering portfolio.
  • Accelerate technical expertise and align passions to future career at Dell.
  • Engage in networking and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Currently enrolled in engineering, Technology, or Computer Science related undergraduate fields and expect to graduate between December 2025 and May 2026.
  • Understanding of Computer Science Foundations and the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages: Python, Rust, C, C++, Java, or Golang.
  • Highly motivated with an agile learning mindset and ability to ramp up new technologies quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a global team environment.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and deliver results while demonstrating accountability, innovation, and detail orientation.
  • Understanding of Front-End technologies (such as Spring Framework, Angular/AngularJS, and HTML) or Database technologies (such as SQL and NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of kernel/embedded systems programming, including multi-threaded, locking and memory management concepts.
  • Experience with Container Management technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM and SCRUM@Scale.
  • Demonstrate AI literacy and a proactive approach to leveraging AI tools to enhance software development workflows.
